Relationship

Relationship – noun

I Googled the word relationship and I like this meaning out of all the other meanings.

Family, friendships, romantic or casual. “The state of being related to or interrelated”. A connection. A binding. How many of us feel connected to or bound to something? For those of us that are in either of the following four relationships (Family, friendships, romantic or casual). Do we feel truly connected or bounded to either?

If I try to bake a bread, like I did this weekend, I needed certain ingredients to make the bread exactly like I wanted it. I needed one very important ingredient – baking soda. My bread would not rise like it should without my baking soda. Correct me if you know of any other ingredient that could do that. All the ingredients had to come together to form a relationship, a connection in order for them to work correctly. They bonded. They interrelated.

I trusted that they would work to make the perfect bread. I felt safe that I could eat that bread because I used all the right ingredients.

How many of us can say that we have experienced trust, honesty, respect, communication? Do you feel that there is loyalty in your relationship? Are you happy? Are you willing to compromise?
